I met Barbara whilst walking our dogs on the common several years ago. We discovered a mutual love of the Brecon Beacons and walking and gardening, at that time Barbara had started volunteering at Westonbirt. Barbara told me a year or so later about her diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Barbara was truely courageous in her determination to do all she could to overcome the illness and to enjoy every minute of her life with Brian and her love of being out in nature. She was genuine and honest and always interested in others despite the difficulties she was encountering. I will miss her but am glad to have known her.
